Zion Where to Stay

There are several options to enjoy an extended stay in or near the park, whether in a lodge, hotel, bed and breakfast or campsite. Take the time to find the right basecamp for you, commonly either Springdale, St. George, Cedar City, East Zion, or Kanab.

Numerous lodging options, from hotels to bed and breakfasts, are available in the park and nearby in Springdale. Visitors also opt for overnight accomodations along S.R. 9, in St. George, and in or near the less-trafficked parts of Zion: Cedar City is an excellent gateway to the Kolob Canyons section while Kanab and smaller towns on U.S. 89 access the East Entrance.

Camping

There is no lack of adventure to be had at Zion National Park. The rugged desert landscape, slender canyons, scenic drives and diverse plant and wildlife are sure to appease hikers, mountain bikers, climbers, canyoneers and nature lovers. The park’s year-round camping options will keep adventurers as close to the action as possible. Zion is also certified as an International Dark Sky Park by the International Dark-Sky Association, making its campgrounds a great place for stargazing.
