Harp and Hound
This “upscale pub” in Ogden is in the perfect spot for any northern foray — located on busy Washington Boulevard across from the Ogden Amphitheater and around the corner from the arts hub The Monarch, there’s plenty to entertain in this part of town. Harp and Hound is the easy going upstairs counterpart to its sister bar Funk ‘n Dive, a storied former speakeasy that hosts live music, karaoke and more on a regular basis. But besides all the fun there is to be had, what will keep you coming back is the food. They’ve got a hefty menu of bar eats, and notably, an entirely vegan selection, too. Whether you’re there for brunch staples or hearty shareables, dishes like O-town Tatchos (nachos but make it tater tots), pizzas and not-boring burgers like the BBQ sauce-drenched 47 Rodeo or the Garlic Mushroom Swiss all get the vegan treatment. Round it out with one of the local beers they keep stocked, like Ogden River Brewing Co, and you’ve got yourself a new homebase for all your northern wanderings.
