Resort Information
Who is Deer Valley for?
Deer Valley touts meticulously maintained runs for skiers only. Its famous mountain operations team lays out grade-A corduroy and zen-like trails that appeal to both coast-happy beginners and upper-level intermediate skiers. The snowcats, however, leave a handful of double-black-diamond chutes untouched for the experts.
A Luxury Resort in Park City
Without question, Deer Valley Resort offers a prestigious skiing experience. Manicured runs, velvety snow, majestic overlooks, gracious mountain hosts and a reputable ski school create a hub for high-end trailside residences, an opulent resort and spa, gourmet provisions and sunny ski beaches.
Is Snowboarding Allowed?
Deer Valley Resort is a ski-only resort. Snowboarders can ride at Park City Mountain Resort, three miles from Deer Valley's base.
Parking and Transportation
Deer Valley Resort does not require parking reservations. Still, parking lots fill quickly during peak holidays and weekends, so parking early, carpooling or using the Park City Transit System (free!) is advised. Snow Park Lodge and Deer Valley East Village offer for free parking and complimentary shuttle service. Download the Deer Valley app to view the live parking lot tracker.
Very limited parking exists at Deer Valley's mid-mountain Silver Lake Lodge. Note: Empire Canyon Lodge does not offer parking. See more Utah ski vacation tips.
Restaurants and Places to Relax
Deer Valley Resort offers relaxation and on-mountain eats (don't miss Deer Valley's famous turkey chili) at their three main day lodges — Snow Park Lodge, Empire Canyon Lodge and Silver Lake Lodge — and mountain-top lodge, Cushing's Cabin. Other Deer Valley restaurant options include luxury resorts and lodges that dot the mountainside with ski-in, ski-out breaks.
The Brass Tag
Open nightly for dinner service, The Brass Tag in the Lodges at Deer Valley serves up Italian favorites including ravioli, gnocchi and brick-oven pizza.
St. Regis Deer Valley
Head to St. Regis for an al fresco lunch on the heated outdoor Mountain Terrace, surf-and-turf menu offerings at the rustic RIME, light bites and handcrafted cocktails at the St. Regis Bar, or French comfort food at Brasserie 7452.
Goldener Hirsch
An Auberge Resort, Goldener Hirsch recently expanded upon its Bavarian-inspired dining and lodging options. The Goldener Hirsch Restaurant serves up savory Alpine-influenced Osguthorpe Farms Lamb Loin and Raclette-Bacon Burger, while the Goldener Hirsch Café & Veranda and Antler Lounge dish up gourmet sandwiches, salads and Bavarian pretzels for a mid-mountain snack or a midday meal.
Glitretind Restaurant
Much like the famed ski style of the lodge’s Norwegian namesake, Stein Eriksen Lodge epitomizes slopeside elegance. Inside, the Glitretind restaurant serves award-winning dishes made from fresh, local and sustainable ingredients. If you’re looking for a lively après or a light lunch, hit up nearby Troll Hallen.
Montage Deer Valley
Located atop Empire Pass, the Montage Deer Valley boasts many gourmet options, whether you crave eggs benedict, grab-n-go coffee, burgers and fries, fine dining or handcrafted brick-oven pizzas.
Night Skiing
Deer Valley does not offer night skiing.

Run Highlights
-
Daly Chute #10
Daly Chutes offer great steep and deep chutes that never disappoint. From the Empire Express, ski down Orion and then cut into Anchor Trees. A short, easy hike is required after passing Daly Bowl. After signs for Chutes #5, 6 and 7, a gentle slope takes you to a crater-looking cornice. Jump in or enter from the side. The chute is wide open up top, but narrows in the midsection and finally opens into a gentler slope dotted with trees.
-
Supreme
This trail allows intermediate skiers a great way to see the Empire section of this luxury resort, which is otherwise mostly advanced and advanced-intermediate runs. Take the Empire Express to the top of the mountain at 9,570 feet and hit Supreme. You’ll cross under the lift at mid-run and ultimately end up where you started — at the Empire Express lift.
