Resort Information
Who is Park City Mountain for?
Park City Mountain appeals to skiers and snowboarders who strive to conquer the resort’s 7,300 acres, 341 runs, 43 lifts and six terrain parks. There’s an experience for all levels. However, 92% of the terrain is geared to intermediate and advanced crews. Try out extra-long groomers, epic shredding in Jupiter Bowl or a magic flight in the Orange Bubble Express.
Terrain Parks
Ready for jumps, rails, wallrides, boxes and bonks? Park City Mountain hosts six (yes, six!) terrain parks, one half-pipe and one mini-pipe for skiers and riders of all abilities. Newbies and families have their pick of two beginner parks — Little Kings Park at the Park City base or Pinedraw Park at the Canyons Village base — while advanced park-goers use 3 Kings for their gravity-defying action.
Parking and Transportation
Parking isn’t always easy on weekends and holidays, but if you strategize ahead and arrive early, you’ll hit the slopes without hassle. Take your pick of complimentary parking, paid parking, garage parking or riding public transportation.
No parking reservations are required at the Park City Mountain Village or Canyons Village. For complimentary parking lots, follow the directions from the parking attendants as you arrive. The Town Lift offers another route to the mountain if you’re lucky enough to find parking near Main Street.
Park City's free bus system stops at the base of both Park City Mountain Village and Canyons Village, making public transportation a convenient and very affordable way to access the resort.Restaurants and Places to Relax
Fuel up or wind down at several Park City Mountain dining options. From grab-n-go cafes and full-service lunches to après-ski lounges and old-school taverns, shredders find their favorites on the mountain and at the resort’s two base camps — Mountain Village and Canyons Village.
Legends Bar & Grill
Elegant and family-friendly, Legends Bar & Grill boasts a gastro-pub vibe open for cocktails, lunch and après ski on the first floor of Legacy Lodge in the Mountain Village. Enjoy grilled chicken nachos, warm artichokes and spinach dip, a Kobe beef burger, homemade French onion soup or Ahi tuna salad. Legacy Cafe sits adjacent to Legends for casual bites, including chili, soups, burgers, pizza and grab-and-go sandwiches.
Red Pine Lodge
Take the Red Pine Gondola up to 8,000 feet or ski down from The Meadows lift or Saddleback Express for an easy-in, easy-out brunch, lunch or snack. This mid-mountain lodge offers cafeteria-style nosh, including soups, sandwiches, pizza and grilled entrees. On a warm day, the outside patio offers ski-run views and sunshine.
Red Tail Grill
Located near Orange Bubble Express and Red Pine Gondola, enjoy lunch, dinner or après on the outdoor, snow-melt patio. You'll find family-friendly dining, incredible views and various seating options — traditional tables, fire pits, a large hearth fire and bar-style seating.
Night Skiing
Park City Mountain does not offer night skiing.
Run Highlights
-
Aplande
Off Apex, the spruce- and aspen-lined Aplande is a double blue square dip across the shadowy face. It holds some great powder and, as you pick up speed, delivers you onto the sunnier Lower Boa for the cruise home.
-
Boa
Since it doesn't see as much traffic as other parts of the mountain, Boa (approximately 1,780 vertical feet) at Canyons Resort is a long, winding blue. It’s a bit of a well-kept secret despite being a great long cruiser.
-
Fool’s Paradise
Because it’s all the way at the other end of the resort, Fool’s Paradise is often hoarding the best snowfall and has the fewest people on a powder day. Accessed by the Dreamcatcher lift, the trail zips through an aspen grove and offers some breathtaking tree skiing at a moderate pitch.
-
Motherlode Meadows
Motherlode Meadows off the Motherlode lift provides opportunities for skiers and riders to explore different lines by lapping the Meadows, getting the best of the long-lasting powder stashes.
-
Prospector
Just off the Silverlode lift sits Prospector, one of PCMR’s 13 Signature Runs: black diamond or double-blue runs that are groomed regularly, though not every day. It also happens to be one of the steeper pitches on the mountain. Take the Silverlode lift to Parley’s Park to Prospector, and at the end, you can do it all over again.
-
Upper Apex to Apex
A beautiful ridgeline running down the north mountain with multiple opportunities to up your game.
