Trails like these caught the eye of the International Mountain Bicycling Association and Park City has become the world’s only IMBA-certified Gold Level riding destination.

This behemoth resort, the largest in the United States, is just one of Utah’s multiple world-class mountain resorts. Thrill seekers will also enjoy the terrain park and action sports center at Woodward Park City, the area’s newest resort, and skiers who enjoy the finer things will relish in a luxury ski experience at Deer Valley Resort. If you want to skip the lines completely, head to a nearby nordic center for some cross-country skiing.

Alpine Slide & Mountain Coaster

Jordanelle Reservoir
Jordanelle Reservoir and state park has been a staple of weekend adventures since 1995. Visitors can spend the day picnicking on shore, swimming laps in the cool mountain waters or trekking up nearby trails for an aerial view of the reservoir. Angling enthusiasts can fish from shore or set out by boat in search of trout, bass and perch. Park Silly Market (Seasonal)
The Park Silly Sunday Market has been an annual summer tradition since 2006. On Sunday mornings Main Street is transformed into a bustling open-air market where visitors can peruse local art, gourmet food, unique exhibitions and live music. Bring your whole family (including your dog!) along to enjoy the festivities from June through September.

Sundance Film Festival (Seasonal)
Perhaps the most well-known thing to do in Park City is attend the annual Sundance Film Festival. The independent film festival has been bringing film lovers together for over 40 years. The event typically runs for a week at the end of January, and it’s well worth the trip. Catch a screening on Main Street, enjoy some shopping and good eats and keep an eye out for your favorite movie stars.

Utah Olympic Park
Utah Olympic Park was the host venue of bobsled, luge, skeleton and ski jumping events for the 2002 Games and it is now a main training facility for current and aspiring Olympians. Visitors can relive stories of triumph at the 2002 Winter Games museum, or get in on the action with adventure activities including zip lines, extreme tubing, an alpine slide, ropes course, or a bobsled ride.
